THE CBS LENT RETREAT, 15th-17th February 2008.

The second annual CBS Lent retreat took place this past weekend at Christens Gård (Christians Acre) in Trelleborg, Skåne in the very south of Sweden.
Ten persons, including the Superior General of the CBS: Father Christopher Pearson (who is also our Ward Superior), associates and nonassociates of the CBS, clergy and lay persons, Englishmen and Swedes were gathered for almost three days of silence, prayer, Mass, Exposition and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, CBS Ward meeting etc.
There was though also time for some talk, exquisite meals and of course tea and coffee. It was certainly a great weekand for all participants: as usual at Sr Gerd's Christian's Acre

WELCOME TO THE SWEDISH CBS BLOG!

This is a blog for Swedish associates of the Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament.

image1Sweden is a big country with a relatively small population, this is something that we also notice as associates of the Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament. Most of us live in Stockholm and are parishoners at the Anglican Episcopal Church of Saint Peter and Saint Sigfrid, but some of us lives "scattered" in all parts of Sweden.

At the CBS Lent retreat at Christens Gård/Christians Acre in Skåne we spoke about how we should keep our fellow CBS associates informed of "what's going on" in The Ward of S Brigid. The idea of a some kind of website was born, and it resulted in this blog. So from now on we can use this blog as a notice board for future CBS events and also to, for example, report previous events (hopefully with some nice inspiring photos, etc)!

We also hope that this blog will be a good place to start for people in Sweden who wants to know more about the Confraternity. For that reason the blog will be published in both English and Swedish.

So, in the name of Jesus Christ, ones again:

Welcome!
